COVID-19 Response

The meeting's organizing committee is monitoring COVID-19 status and CDC guidelines. Although we all would like to have an in-person meeting, we are taking the pandemic very seriously and wish to prioritize the health of the participants.

The meeting organizers have the right to move the meeting to an all-virtual format at any time. All in-person events are pending COVID status.

On-campus Mask Requirements

The university has announced updated mask requirements for Spring 2022. Cloth masks no longer meet these requirements and all in-person participants will be required to wear surgical or higher-grade (KN95, KF94 and N99) masks. Although we request that you bring masks for yourself, we will have surgical masks available at all events and sessions for those who need one.

Hybrid Format

In-person attendance is not required for the VOLTRON meeting. We will be hosting all technical sessions and workshops online in addition to in-person. There are, however, certain demonstrations and tours that will be available only in-person.

Large Indoor Spaces

Indoor spaces pose the highest risk for transmission of COVID-19, but are necessary for in-person meeting attendance. In order to provide space for social distancing and adequate ventilation, we will be booking rooms that can hold twice the number of in-person attendees or more.

Vaccine Request

Vaccines are effective against COVID-19 (see this CDC page for more info). In order to protect all attendees, we request that only vaccinated individuals attend the in-person event. If you are unvaccinated for any reason, we recommend registering to attend virtually for your protection and the protection of others in our community.
