Dr. Laszlo Kestay

Dr. Laszlo Kestay (formerly Keszthelyi) has investigated a wide variety of mafic lava flows on Earth, Mars, and Jupiter's moon, Io, using a mix of field studies, remote sensing investigations, and numerical modeling techniques. He is currently the director of the USGS Astrogeology Science Center and the volcanology Science Theme Lead for the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera onboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.
