The goal of this field workshop is to investigate emplacement processes associated with the two largest historical flood lava flows in Iceland, Laki and Holuhraun, as analogs for volcanism on Mars.

The goal of this research campaign was to examine the products of explosive lava–water interactions within Rauðhólar and large sinuous lava channels in the 1783–1784 Laki lava flow as analog for Mars.

The goal of this workshop was to bring together a community of Earth and Planetary Scientists with diverse perspectives to examine the 2014–2015 eruption at Holuhraun in Iceland.
